DAVID DELEO
Davide is GRIT owner and co-founder, as well as a City of Newburgh advocate. As a member of the Newburgh Illuminated Committee, and one of the organizers of its long-loved music and performing arts festival held in the city, David is guided by the mission of building and bridging communities through arts and cultural events.
ERIC JARMANN
A Newburgh native, GRIT co-founder Eric is an advocate for the local arts and small business community. In 2014, he and his wife, Jacquelyn, opened retail store Newburgh Mercantile, and Eric’s earlier projects include The Power Of Art Gallery on Liberty Street (1994-1996) and Newburgh Portfolio (2009–present), a series of networking events aimed at fostering connections and growth within the arts community. Through his innovative spirit and commitment to Newburgh’s culture, Eric continues to leave a lasting impact on his hometown.
DAVID LIONHEART
GRIT curator and resident artist David Lionheart has helped establish the gallery’s reputation for pushing boundaries through experiential exhibits that support artists of various media. You’ll also find his own art displayed within the gallery—emotive, large-scale works known for their vibrant hues and textural elements. David is also the founder of veteran-support nonprofit Play For Your Freedom, as well as a motivational speaker for schools, groups, and organizations. (Learn more.)
